Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to measure how this website is used: for example, which pages are visited, the approximate location (country or city), the device and browser type, and how visitors reach the website. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_[property ID], which expire after up to two years. Google signals and advertising features are disabled. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications). Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Your choice. Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them. You can accept or reject them, and withdraw your consent at any time, under Cookie settings, which is also linked at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (gin_consent) for 12 months; this is strictly necessary to respect your choice and does not require consent.

Website operation and statistics. The hosting platform (WordPress.com, with Jetpack and Akismet, services of Automattic) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, the referring page and the pages visited, in order to deliver the website securely and to compile aggregate visit statistics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last exchange, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing collaboration or to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).
