G Institute s. r. o. carries out applied research and development in artificial intelligence and technical sciences, software development and systems integration for first industrial deployment with industrial partners. The company was established to take an AI platform for industrial use from applied research through first industrial deployment to commercialisation.
Scope
What the company does
The company works on the step between a validated method and its use in industry: turning models and engineering concepts into software and systems that run on an industrial partner’s data, equipment and infrastructure.
Applied research and development
Development of artificial-intelligence methods and engineering solutions beyond the laboratory stage, to the point where they can be tested on industrial data and equipment.
Software development and data processing
Design, implementation and testing of the software that turns models into tools engineers and operators can use: data pipelines, data processing, model services and user interfaces.
Systems integration
Connection of new software and models to a partner’s existing systems, data sources and operating environment for a first industrial deployment.
Project coordination
Planning and management of applied research and development carried out with industrial and research partners.
Method
From validated method to first industrial deployment

Scoping
Definition of the problem, the available data and equipment, the success criteria and the operating constraints, agreed with the partner before development starts.

Development and testing
The solution is developed and tested against the partner’s data and, where required, in the partner’s environment, with results reviewed against the agreed criteria.

First industrial deployment
Integration into the partner’s systems, documentation and handover for operation.

Results and knowledge transfer
Publicly funded work
Results of publicly funded work are disseminated and made available to third parties in line with the rules of the funding programme, including licensing on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms where those rules require it.
Commercial work
Scope, confidentiality and the ownership and use of results are set out in a written agreement for each project.

Relationship with Nadácia G Institute
G Institute s. r. o. and Nadácia G Institute are separate legal entities. The foundation carries out public-benefit research and no economic activity, and its accounts are kept separately from those of the company.
The foundation does not fund the company’s commercial activities. Any transfer of results, services or rights between the two takes place on market terms and is documented.
